Seasame Street and Breastfeeding

This post is purely for fun (and so I’ll have a quick and easy place to point friends to). There are a bunch of YouTube videos of clips from Sesame Street that discuss breastfeeding. They are neat little bits of advocacy aimed at kids.

Hey! Some of these are also instructive for those who motor on at the mouth with their version of “What about the kiddies? How will we explain the breast and the baaaa-by??” How about by channeling Buffy!

Most of all they are just cool!

So without further a-do ENJOY!

These are great, aren’t they? Did you ever see the amazing Mr. Rogers one? It was beautiful. Alas, YouTube has removed all traces of it.

*Laughing* It appears I didn’t need to make this post! I could have linked to a Motherwear blog post from the beginning of the month. I should read my blog subscriptions more often!

They have the Mr. Rogers video embedded over there!

Awww. I understand why Family Communications, Inc. would want to control their product. *gusty sigh*

I’m mulling over an idea to ask them to provide some of their “best of” clips on their site that we could link to directly. That way copyright isn’t an issue and Mr. Rogers could continue to be an internet breastfeeding supporter.

That would rule! I hope it works out.

I loved the Mr. Rogers one. It was wonderful. I had it embedded on my blog too along with the Sesame Street ones.
